Medicare

Turning 65, you will find you have many choices when it comes to be covered by Medicare. Medicare and insurance carriers have plans to fit everyone’s budget and needs. There are 4 parts to Medicare:

Part A – Hospital (this coverage is automatic and typically at no cost)

Part B – Doctor (you elect this coverage and there is a premium

Part C – Medicare Advantage (you elect this coverage and there may be a premium)

Part D – Prescription (you choose to elect this coverage and there is a premium)

Medicare has deductibles and coinsurances that you will have to pay for certain covered services. There are ways to fill in the gaps either by enrolling in a Medicare Supplement plan or a Medicare Advantage plan.
